STAND UP
(Jr High)
This track will help explore how we move from knowing about God to personally understanding and responding to the gospel. It lays a foundation for what Christians believe and invites us to stand up and take steps forward to own our faith.
STAND FIRM
(Sr High)
This track will explore how we build a resilient, growing faith amidst times of distraction or doubt. We'll learn about developing spiritual habits and discipleship practices that keep us rooted and continuing to grow.
HOLD FAST
(Sr High)
This track will explore how we confidently live out faith in a complex world. It focuses on applying biblical truth to real life so faith becomes durable, visible and resilient.
Meet our Speakers
Jinu Yu is the EM Pastor of New Day Church, which is now called The Garden. Jinu has a strong heart for this generation of young believers, especially young Asian Americans in Chicagoland. He loves seeing the potential in young, broken people to help them become who God has called them to be. He has pastored in the Chicagoland area for six years, serving three years as a youth pastor and three years as the EM pastor of New Day. Jinu is married to Jenn and they have a son named Maverick. In his spare time, Jinu loves thrifting and reselling, playing basketball, and watching Chicago sports.
Frank has been with NCC since the spring of 2007. A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago and Moody Theological Seminary, he first served as Worship Director and now oversees discipleship and the overall vision of the church. Through years of involvement in discipleship, accountability, and Bible study groups, Frank is passionate about commitment to the local church, growing in service, pursuing restoration in relationships with others, and replicating as disciples of Jesus Christ so we can fulfill the Great Commission together. Frank and his wife, Linda, are blessed with their son, Ethan, and daughter, Jayden.
Born in South Korea and raised in Chicago, pastor Hoyoung Peter Moon is a diehard Chicago sports fan. After attending the University of Illinois for undergraduate studies, he worked in IT before completing the Master of Divinity at Northern Seminary. Peter is married to Eunae Faith Moon, and they have three children Grace, Isaiah, and Josiah. His family served as missionaries in Cambodia for five years and served in Los Angeles before moving to Atlanta in 2021. His passion is to see the gospel renew the church and the lives of its people. He enjoys anything and everything related to food and coffee. He looks forward to sharing a meal with you!
